What we read

• Corrections. An error in a report, ideally with the page address and the source that shows the correct position. See corrections.
• Gaps. A procedure inside one of our desks that we have not covered and should. These shape what gets written next.
• Image and licensing questions. Every photograph is credited on the image credits page; if a credit is wrong, tell us and it is fixed.
• Accessibility problems. Anything on this site that is difficult to use with a screen reader, a keyboard, or at a magnified text size.

What we cannot answer

We cannot advise on your matter, review documents, estimate what your case is worth, tell you which forms to file, or refer you to a lawyer. Crown Legal Report is a publication, not a law firm, and nothing sent to this address is confidential or privileged. Do not send case documents, identification, or anything you would not want read by someone who is not your attorney.

If you need advice, contact a lawyer licensed in your state. Most state bar associations run a referral service, and many areas have legal aid organizations that take matters by subject.

Report text may be quoted with attribution and a link. Whole reports may not be republished. Photographs are governed by their own licenses, which are listed with each credit.
