Corrections
We publish procedural law, which changes. When a report is wrong, we would rather hear it from a reader than leave it standing.
Reporting an error
Write to [email protected] with the address of the page and the sentence you think is wrong. If you can point to the statute, regulation or agency page that shows the correct position, that shortens the process considerably — but a plain description of what does not match your experience is welcome too.
What happens next
- We check the claim against the primary source, not against the article it came from.
- If the report is wrong, it is corrected the same working week and the correction is logged below.
- If the report is right but unclear, we rewrite the passage and note it as a clarification.
- If the report is right and clear, we reply and explain why, with the source.
A correction that changes the substance of a report is logged. A typographical fix is not.
What we cannot do
We cannot answer questions about your own matter, review your documents, tell you whether you have a claim, or recommend a lawyer. Crown Legal Report is a publication, not a law firm, and a reply that appeared to advise you would be worse than no reply at all.
Correction log
Substantive corrections are recorded here, newest first, with the page and what changed. The log is empty because no substantive correction has been made yet; it will not stay that way, and an empty log is more honest than a manufactured one.
